Serious and dependable, Grey realized that in the heat of battle you had to become something more than human to survive. Her unit, featuring specially trained K9 attack dogs, gave her an intuitive edge that a normal squad could not afford.

That said, some might say she was a little too fond of her dogs as she often gave them ranks, much to the dismay of other officers. Indeed, in the past her life had been saved many times by her faithful dogs. They often detected explosives that human experts would miss, sniffing out the sort of traps that were a normal soldier’s worst nightmare.

Since she always got the job done, she was largely left the freedom of having a mostly non-human squad. When she did take soldiers along, it’d often be other similarly minded women, leading to some particularly offensive comments from the other men based at Sector 3. It would not be the first or last time someone would use “this assignment has gone to the dogs” in vain.

When the Great War started and conventional combat was no longer viable, she applied the lessons she learned with her faithful dogs to her combat style. Predicting attacks and the movements of others, she dealt heavy losses to enemy forces simply could not keep up with her.

Her life sadly ended in the Sector 3 A.I. incident, her tactics and teachings are now enshrined in the hall of heroes and have since become the stuff of legend.
